How to read your AAAA Record results

An AAAA record maps a hostname to an IPv6 address. Not every domain has one yet, and that is normal.
If both A and AAAA exist, clients on IPv6 networks will usually prefer the AAAA.

What is an AAAA record?

The IPv6 version of an A record. It maps a hostname to a 128-bit IPv6 address.

Do I need an AAAA record?

Not required, but it lets IPv6-only clients reach you directly. Only publish one if the server truly answers on IPv6.
